Hi I'm Angel Nevaeh,

While visiting family friends in S.D. I was asked if I could teach Self Defense Classes on the Res. It was then that they explained to me that Native Americans only populate 1.1% of the entire U.S. and out of that percentage, less then 10% are women and children. Yet, 40% of that 10% of the Missing, Murdered, and Human Trafficking are Indigenous women and children, that's huge! We also learned that there was not enough people, or media, bringing awareness of the dire atrocities happening on the Res. Since we live in a rural community I decided to further investigate; and we found that rural areas were impacted as well, not to the degree as on the Res, but a lot more then other places here in our Nation. We found that there are over 60 million people in rural America, and that in Human Trafficking cases rural victims are commonly women, girls, minors, and runaways. Out of those victims, 26% are associated with Labor Trafficking, and 76% are victims of Sex Trafficking.

There is a real need of self defense & survival skills on the reservations & rural communities. Women & children are being sold & kidnapped into Human Trafficking right here in America. Bringing awareness to a bleak situation may bring a loved one home, my goal is to make others aware that there is a problem. To help train children, youths, teens, adults, elderly & disabled that are able to, self defense & survival skills in hopes they can utilize those tools to possibly prevent it from happening to them. You can help me make that happen, to give them the tools, equipment and help. If we can make a difference in 1 persons life, it is worth it. I am willing to do what I can to bring awareness and help in this dyer situation.

All of our life my parents said to my siblings & I, if you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life. If you can help bring awareness & help to others plight in life then you are doing your service to humanity. That your health, as well as school was a vital part of your life, that they went hand in hand; by being diligent in both it would pave the way to your success in life.

Over 11 years martial arts gave me focus, discipline, control of my mind, body, & spirit, which I am proud to share, teach, & help; I will also bring a team to share their expertise, knowledge & stories.
